Meet Our Team: Ana P. Gomes

In this #OurTeam “episode” we had a chat with Ana Gomes, our Quality Control Assistant. Holding a degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of Porto, Ana is working in our Quality Control department. This February, Ana celebrates her first work anniversary or, as we like to call it, her first Stemversary!
We thought it was a great opportunity to quickly understand her role at Stemmatters as well as her motivation at. So, we asked Ana a few questions:
How would you describe your role to someone who's outside the advanced therapies and regenerative medicine field?
“I am responsible for the quality control assays regarding the products under development and finished formulations produced at Stemmatters. This means that I evaluate if the product has the right quality attributes as specified by our customers.”
How do you describe this past year at Stemmatters?
"It was a year of scientific and personal growth, where I have dealt with new challenges, learning new things every day.”
What motivates you to continue working at Stemmatters?
"It's interesting to be part of a biotechnology company that is giving me an opportunity to grow and work in different projects. The highly motivated and supportive team allows us to go further and expand our comfort zone.”
