Meet Our Team: Hélio F. Pereira

This month, our Financial Controller, Hélio Pereira, celebrates 1 year at Stemmatters.
Hélio holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, along with a post-graduation course in Accounting and Finance from the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave. Hélio has more than eight years of experience as an accountant, and he became a pivotal member of the Stemmatters team in the role of Financial Controller.
In this #OurTeam “episode” we had a chat with Hélio to learn a bit more about his experience during this past year at Stemmatters.
Describe this past year at Stemmatters.
This first year was challenging, but it also resulted in a tremendous boost in knowledge, especially considering that I was working in a completely different business area. It is equally important to highlight the support and collaboration of the Stemmatters team, which readily demonstrated their eagerness to elucidate how the company operates. Overall, it has been a positive experience due to constant learning, the motivation to work in such a promising field, and the privilege of working with this team.
What led you to join Stemmatters?
First of all, for me the idea to work for a company that is at the forefront of regenerative medicine was fascinating. From a professional standpoint, was the ability to provide data to assist/support management decision-making in a complex market.
What motivates you to continue working at Stemmatters?
What motivates me to continue working at Stemmatters is the company's strong trajectory of growth and its adeptness at tackling daily challenges. This resilience underscores a strong sense of ambition and the promise of a prosperous future. I look forward to continuing to help Stemmatters achieve its goals.
